• October 2006 The cd will be pressed and the booklet will be made. If everything will work out fine and as planned the cd should be ready half this month. In the first week of this month there will be done the preparations of the Promotion tour in Finland the present the cd “Get Up And Go”.This tour should take place in the last week of October. 

  September 2006 At the start of this month Marten Blom, the young talented painter, who lives in the north of Holland, Friesland, presented his cover painting. It is done really very well. During this month there will be taken some technical pictures of the painting for the booklet and cd cover. Also the rest of the artwork will be done in concept. As planned there will be the mastering of the present audio files by Roel Toering at the Stable Studio in Arnhem, Holland.

• August 2006 Walter and the Blue Connection had three gigs in Finland this month. The first was at Duetto in Nurmijarvi. The audience reacted very enthusiast when the numbers of the forcomming cd were played. Also the additional set with unknown blues covers, played with a “WABC sauce” was a success. In Helsinki the whole band was taking part at the Monday Blues Jam session at Mendocino in Helsinki. They also played some numbers of the cd to make some promotion for the concert later that week in the same bar. People liked it! The last and third gig at Mendocino was again very nice. In the last week of August there has been worked very hard during four days. There has been done the mixing work together with Ilkka Antikainen of the Rapsodia Mussikki Studio in Helsinki. The well known boogie woogie piano player Harri Saanio of the Barnshakers has been doing some additional recordings. Also some other guitar work has been played by Pasi and Walter has done the backing vocals.

• July 2006 In July Walter has been to the Stable Studio in Arnhem, Holland to record the definite vocals with the passionate help of Roel Toering. Also some additional guitars were played and recorded. It became a very long day, but was very special. After that the audio files has sended to Ilkka Antikainen, who will do the mixing. The preparations for a mini tour in Finland are being prepared

• April 2006 everything is according schedule. There are still a lot of things to be done. Walter has to sing the definite vocals, Marten is or has to start painting. In July this year the definitive mixing is planned at the Rapsodia Musiikii Studio at Helsinki. Pasi has to play some guitar still and a few things have to be done. Besides the artwork, mixing, mastering the graphic design has to be done as well. The mastering is planned end of August/beginning of September this year

• March 2006 the young and talented artist Marten Blom, who lives up north in Friesland is willing to make some paintings. The paintings are inspired of the music from Walter and the Blue Connection. The special paintings will be the artwork for the cover of the cd.

•  February 2006 starts the third session at the studio. In three days all the other new numbers are recorded and the basic tracks are being fine tuned with bass parts of Pete and drums- and percussion parts of Anssi. A lot of work is being done with a lot of pleasure. Jonna is singing some backin’ vocals and Walter sings again all the vocals to colour the songs. The rough mix is being made in the end of February by Ilkka and from that moment on there has to be checked what has to be done for the recordings.

• At the end of 2005 the first studio sessions starts and the first basic tracks are being recorded at the Rapsodia Musiikii Studio at Helsinki. With the help of recording technician Ilkka Antikainen the first tracks are recorded. Because Anssi is not able to be on time at the recording sessions Juppe another friend drummer is being so kind to play the ghost tracks for the drum parts. Jari Virtanen is playing the basic tracks of the bass guitar, which are later to be played definite by Pete. Jari is playing bass on the song Waiting. The young, talented drummer Teemu Sarjamo (Sun Connection) is taking part during the second session. He plays drum and percussion on Packin’, What’s Right and Cold White House.

           

• Oktober 2006 De cd zal verder worden geperst en het boekje worden gedrukt. Als alles volgens planning verloopt, zou de cd medio oktober klaar moeten zijn. Ook is de promo tour in Finland in voorbereiding. Deze promo tour zal plaats vinden in de laatste week van oktober.

  September 2006 Begin september heeft de in Friesland woonachtige schilder Marten Blom de coverpainting gepresenteerd. Het is prachtig geworden. Hier zullen nog technische foto’s van worden gemaakt voor de cd cover. In deze maand zal het technische ontwerp van het booklet in concept worden opgeleverd. Verder zullen de opnames gemasterd worden door Roel Toering van Stable Studio in Arnhem.

• Augustus 2006 In Finland hebben Walter and the Blue Connection drie concerten gegeven. De eerste in Duetto in Nurmijarvi. Het publiek reageerde zeer enthousiast op de nummers die gespeeld weren van de komende cd. Ook de blues set met onbekende nummers overgoten met een WABC saus werd hartelijk ontvangen. In Helsinki deed de band mee aan de blues Jam sessie in Bar Mendocino. Ook werden er al wat nummers gespeeld als promotie voor het optreden later die week in dezelfde bar. Het derde optreden was ook succesvol en werd goed ontvangen door het publiek. In de laatste week van augustus is er hard gewerkt in de Rapsodia Mussikki Studio in Helsinki. Onder leiding van Ilkka Antikainen is er 4 dagen gemixt, additionele gitaar en piano opnames toegevoegd en de backingvocals ingezongen. De bekende boogie woogie pianist Harri Saanio van de band The Barnshakers heeft bij enige nummers toetsen gespeeld.

• Juli 2006 In Juli is Walter naar de Stable Studio in Arnhem gegaan om daar onder de bezielende leiding van Roel Toering de vocalen definitief in te zingen en wat additioneel gitaarwerk te doen. Het werd een lange, maar bijzondere dag. Daarna zijn de files opgestuurd naar Ilkka Antikainen, die het mixen zal doen in Augustus. De voorbereidingen voor een mini tour in Finland worden verder voorbereid.

•  April 2006 Walter heeft een optie genomen om in de beroemde Stable Studios in Arnhem van Roel Toering de vocal partijen definitief in te zingen. Roel is een man met veel ervaring en heeft gewerkt met Tröckener Kecks, The Scene, Herman Brood, Jan Akkerman en vele meer. Roel is de man die ook de mastering gaat doen.

•  April 2006 de planning loopt volgens schema. Er moet nog een hoop gebeuren. Walter moet de vocalen nog inzingen, Marten is aan het schilderen, in juli zijn de definitieve mixpartijen in Helsinki gepland. Pasi zal nog enig gitaarwerk toevoegen en opnieuw spelen. Naast het artwork, mixen en masteren moet ook nog het grafische ontwerp gedaan worden. Het masteren is gepland eind augustus/begin september. 

• Maart 2006 de in Friesland woonachtige, talentvolle kunstenaar Marten Blom is bereid gevonden om met enige schilderijen, geïnspireerd op de muziek van Walter and the Blue Connections, het artwork voor de hoes te gaan doen.  Dat wordt een mooie combinatie van kunst en muziek.

•  Februari 2006 start de derde studio sessie. Nu worden in drie dagen tijd alle overige nieuwe nummers gespeeld en de basistracks verder ingevuld met de originele bas- en drumpartijen door Pete en Anssi. Heel veel werk en in een hele leuke tijd wordt de klus gedaan. Jonna zingt de backing vocals in en Walter zingt alle vocalen nogmaals om de nummers goed te kleuren. De ruwe mix wordt door Ilkka Antikainen gedaan eind februari en vanaf dit moment wordt er gekeken wat er nog aan de opnames gebeuren moet.

•  ·Najaar 2005 start men met de eerste studio opnames en worden de eerste basis opnames gedaan in de Rapsodia musiikii studio in Helsinki. Met behulp van opname technicus Ilkka Antikainen worden de eerste tracks opgenomen. In verband met de afwezigheid van Anssi, speelt Juppe de drumpartijen in. Jari Virtanen speelt op de basistracks de baspartijen tijdens de eerste sessie in, die later door Pete definitief worden ingespeeld. Jari speelt wel de bas op het nummer Waiting. De jong getalenteerde Teemu Sarjamo (Sun Connection),  neemt tijdens de tweede sessie deel als drummer en speelt op de nummers Packin’, Whats Right en Cold White House de drum en percussie partijen.
